Garima Chauhan

Garima Chauhan, PhD, PEng is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Engineering, Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering. She also serves as the Undergraduate Curriculum Renewal Lead, driving innovation in teaching methodologies and curriculum design.

• Research Focus: Sustainable chemical processes, waste-to-energy conversion, reaction engineering, catalysis, and recycling technologies for plastics, metals, and electronic waste.
• Courses Taught: Engineering Thermodynamics (CH E 243B), Research Methods (CME 600).
• Publications: Authored 30+ peer-reviewed articles and co-edited two volumes of Solid Waste Management: Chemical and Biochemical Approaches.
