Gareth Hollands is a Principal Research Fellow in Evidence Synthesis and Behavioural Science at the EPPI Centre, UCL Social Research Institute, and a Senior Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge’s Department of Public Health and Primary Care. He holds a PhD in Health Psychology from King’s College London, an MSc in Health Psychology from UCL, and an MA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford.
His research focuses on public health, behavioral science, and evidence synthesis, particularly examining interventions like embedded researcher programs in public health settings and systematic reviews of healthcare practices. He has contributed to studies on pediatric medication errors and strategies to enhance evidence use in policy and practice.
At UCL, he works on projects commissioned by the NIHR Policy Research Programme, including developing frameworks for embedded researcher interventions. His collaborations span institutions like the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and the University of Cambridge, emphasizing co-creation, organizational research culture change, and applied evidence synthesis.
