About
Ganesh Anand is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Pennsylvania State University. He leads the Anand Lab, focusing on structural mass spectrometry to study protein dynamics in viral systems and cell signaling pathways. His research integrates amide hydrogen/deuterium exchange mass spectrometry (HDX-MS), native mass spectrometry, and cryo-electron microscopy to probe viral capsid dynamics, two-component signaling systems, and cAMP regulation.
Education:
- Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellow, University of California San Diego (2000-2006)
- Ph.D., Rutgers University (2000)
- M.Sc./B.Pharm., Birla Institute of Technology and Science, India
Research Interests:
- Viral dynamics (e.g., dengue, SARS-CoV-2, coxsackievirus)
- Allostery in signal transduction
- Protein dynamics in transmembrane receptors
- Structural basis of viral entry and host interactions
Awards:
