Galen R. Sevcik is a Professor in the School of Accountancy at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting (1991), M.B.A. in Accounting and Finance (1980), and B.A. in Mathematics (1975). Prior to academia, he worked as an auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers and financial analyst at FMC Corporation.
His research focuses on auditor pricing, independence, and financial statement analysis. He has published in top journals like *The Accounting Review*, *Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory*, and *Behavioral Research in Accounting*. Teaching specialties include graduate-level financial statement analysis and managerial accounting.
