Gail S. Stephenson is a Professor of Law and Director of Legal Analysis & Writing at Southern University Law Center (SULC) since March 2004. She previously served as an adjunct faculty member at SULC (1997-2004) and Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center (1997-2002). She advises the Southern University Law Review and teaches courses including Advanced Legal Analysis & Writing, Law Review Workshop, and Legal Analysis and Writing I/II.

Her career includes roles as Administrative General Counsel at Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal and director of litigation in corporate practice.
