Gail Elliott

Gail Elliott is an Associate Professor of Clinical Nursing at the School of Nursing, Western Carolina University (WCU), within the College of Health and Human Sciences. She teaches in undergraduate nursing programs and previously served as a clinical adjunct instructor in the ABSN program since 2013. Prior to academia, she worked as a staff RN at Margaret R. Pardee Memorial Hospital, specializing in Women & Children's Unit care, including Labor & Delivery, Pediatrics, and NICU.

Research & Teaching Focus: Her research explores postpartum care, perinatal substance use, and the role of online social networks in maternal health education. She teaches Maternity and Neonatal Nursing, Qualitative Research, and Ethics. She is a member of AWHONN, NCNA, ANA, and Sigma Theta Tau International.
