Gabrielle Rocque

Dr. Gabrielle Rocque is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Divisions of Hematology & Oncology and Gerontology, Geriatrics, & Palliative Care at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She also holds an Associate Professor appointment in Epidemiology at the UAB School of Public Health and serves as a Scientist across multiple UAB centers, including the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Center for Clinical and Translational Science.

Dr. Rocque’s work centers on improving the quality of cancer care delivery, with a focus on shared decision-making, payment reform, and supportive care services. Her research spans clinical trials, health-services innovation, and patient-centered outcomes, particularly for women with metastatic breast cancer.

Leadership & Service:
She co-directs UAB’s Oncology Care Model Steering Committee, served as Medical Director for a CMS Innovation Award, and has chaired ASCO’s Quality of Care Committee and Measures Task Force.
