Gabrielle Freeman

Gabrielle Brant Freeman is a Teaching Professor in the Department of English at East Carolina University. She holds an MFA from Converse College and has taught literature and writing since 1993.

Creative Work: Author of When She Was Bad (Press 53, 2016). Poetry published in Barrelhouse, Hobart, Waxwing, and others.

Awards: Winner of the 2015 Randall Jarrell Poetry Competition and two-time Best of the Net nominee.

Teaching: Courses include American literature, writing across disciplines, and foundational composition.
