Gabriella Ahlenius

Gabriella Ahlenius is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Sciences at the Swedish Red Cross University's Swedish Red Cross College. She holds a master's degree in nursing education and has extensive clinical experience in neonatal care as a pediatric nurse and midwifery in obstetric care. Her work integrates behavioral science principles like cognitive behavioral therapy and specialized training in addressing men's violence against women and intimate partner violence.

Her research focuses on sexual/reproductive health rights, gynecology, and maternal health, with a long-term collaboration with Tanzania's Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Center. She teaches courses in population health, women and children's health, psychiatric care, and health communication. She also serves as a service planner and team manager at the college.

Externally, she teaches at the Red Cross Folk High School and actively develops educational models for violence prevention training in nursing curricula.
