Gabriel Bertolini

Dr. Gabriel Bertolini is a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of British Columbia's Department of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Geosciences from the University of Aberdeen and Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2020), focusing on ancient sedimentary systems. His expertise includes geochemical analysis, geochronology, and petrology of detrital minerals, with applications in multivariate statistical modeling of sedimentary processes. Prior roles include postdoctoral fellowships and lecturing at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2021–2023) and research at Unisinos (2024) applying machine learning to sedimentary basins.
