Gabor Ambrozy

Dr. Gábor Ambrózy is an Assistant Professor at the Károli Gáspár Reformed University, affiliated with the Faculty of Humanities and the Department of Early Modern Economic and Educational History. His academic career focuses on Early Modern History, Economic History, and Transportation History, with a specialization in 18th–19th century Hungarian and Central European developments.

He earned his PhD in History (2023) and MA in English-History (2017) from Károli Gáspár Reformed University. His research revolves around the economic roles of noble entrepreneurs, including the legacy of Count Tivadar Batthyány, and he actively participates in the 18th Century, Hungarian, Protestant, Cultural and Economic History Research Group.

His publications analyze topics such as regional economic growth, political literature of the 1780s, and technological innovations in Hungarian history. He is a member of the Hungarian Society for Eighteen Century Studies and possesses advanced language proficiency in English (C2), French (B2), and professional reading skills in German and Latin.

He contributes to academic discourse through peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, with a focus on Central European economic dynamics and transportation history.
