About
Daniel Gosálbez-Martínez is a Permanent Professor in the Department of Applied Physics at the University of Alicante, affiliated with the Nanofísica research group and the IU Materials Institute. His research focuses on quantum transport in low-dimensional materials, spintronics, and strain engineering in 2D systems.
- Education: PhD in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (2013)
He has coordinated competitive public grants from the Spanish Ministry of Science and the Valencian Government, including projects on non-centrosymmetric materials for spintronics and nanoelectronics. Recent work includes studies on exciton tuning in transition metal dichalcogenides (2023) and topological quantum transport in bismuth (2013).
Teaching includes Quantum Mechanics, Solid State Physics, and Medical Physics courses at the University of Alicante (2023-2025). He has directed 5 Master’s/degree theses in the past 5 years.
- Key Collaborations: École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland
