GHEORGHE CAMELIA MONICA

Gheorghe Camelia-Monica is a University Lecturer at the Romanian-American University, affiliated with the Faculty of International Relations and the Department of Trade, Economic Integration and Business Administration. She is also the Director of the IATA RAU Authorized Training Center and serves as the International Relations Coordinator for the Faculty of Domestic and International Tourism Economics (ETII). She coordinates the master's program Business Management in Tourism and Aviation and has organized the annual international conference Management, Leadership and Innovation toward a Better Changing World since 2013. Notably, she was a keynote speaker at the IATA Global Training Partner Conference in Canada (2014) and Sri Lanka (2017).

• Education: Graduated from the Faculty of Domestic and International Tourism Economics (ETII) in 2005, completed a master's in Business Administration in Tourism (2007), and earned a PhD in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest (2010).

Her research focuses on Air Transport, Ticketing, International Tourism, and Organizational Behavior. She has published over 30 specialized articles and collaborated with the business community on curriculum development and research projects.

Professional Memberships:

• Member of the International Federation for Information Technologies in Travel and Tourism (IFITT), Innsbruck, Austria (since 2013).
• Member of the Tourism Research Information Network (TRINET), Hawaii, USA (since 2013).

She also acts as an external evaluator for the European Commission, contributing to academic and international partnerships.
