G. Paige Sloan is a Professor and Director of the English for Academic Purposes Program (EAPP) and Top University Preparatory Program (TUP) at the University of Rochester. She joined the Writing, Speaking, and Argument Program in 2010 and oversees academic writing support initiatives. Her roles include course instruction and program leadership in language education for multilingual learners.
Education: B.A. in Chinese and American Studies from The University of Alabama; M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and M.L.I.S. in Library and Information Science.
Research interests include cross-cultural communication, academic writing pedagogy, and program design for multilingual learners. Prior to her current role, she taught English abroad at Guizhou University (China) and Kanazawa Institute of Technology (Japan). She also maintains personal interests in Asian film and regional history (New York City and Rochester).
Labs/Teams: Directs EAPP and TUP, collaborates with University Libraries (Rush Rhees Library office location).
