Funda Sahin

Dr. Funda Sahin is an Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at the Bauer College of Business, University of Houston. She holds a Ph.D. in Operations Management from Texas A&M University's Mays Business School, an MBA from Texas A&M, and a BA in Accounting and Finance from Marmara University, Istanbul-Turkey.

Her research focuses on logistics, operations management, inventory planning, and IT applications in supply chains, with publications in leading journals. She actively presents at academic/professional conferences and has consulted firms like Nissan, Cummins Filtration, and Estee Lauder. Dr. Sahin is Immediate Past President of the Decision Sciences Institute (DSI) and Vice-President of the Production and Operations Management Society (POMS).

She teaches at undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels and previously coordinated the Supply Chain Management Doctoral Program at Bauer College. Her professional service includes roles as a research associate at the Information Systems Consortium for Supply Chain Integration and faculty advisor for the Supply Chain Forum at the University of Tennessee.
