About
Prof. Dr. Friedlinde Götz-Neunhoeffer is a Professor of Mineralogy at the GeoZentrum Nordbayern (GeoCenter Northern Bavaria) within Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). She maintains her office in Room HG 2.209 at Schloßgarten 5a, 91054 Erlangen, Germany, and can be contacted via email at friedlinde.goetz@fau.de.
Her research focuses on cement chemistry, particularly the hydration mechanisms of calcium aluminate, calcium silicate, and calcium phosphate cements. She specializes in crystal chemical characterization, quantitative X-ray phase analysis (in-situ) of hydration processes in complex binder systems, and the optimization of long-term behavior of lithium silicate glass ceramics for dental applications. Her work also encompasses calorimetric investigations of cement hydration interactions with various additives including carboxylic acids, carboxylates, PVA, and polymers.
Analysis of her recent publications reveals a strong emphasis on the influence of additives on cement hydration kinetics, phase transformations in calcium-based materials, and development of biomaterials for bone regeneration. Her research spans fundamental mineralogical investigations to applied materials development for construction and biomedical applications.
Prof. Götz-Neunhoeffer leads multiple research projects including 'Silica fume in LCC castables' (2023-2026), '3D printing of Li-Brushite/silk fibroin nanocomposites for bone regeneration' (2022-2024), and 'CO2 incorporation InoJec Systems' (2022-2025), demonstrating her active research program with both industrial and academic funding sources.
Her laboratory conducts advanced mineralogical characterization using X-ray diffraction techniques applied to cement chemistry, materials science, and biomedical materials development. She collaborates extensively with researchers in dental materials science, bone regeneration, and construction materials engineering.
