Friedemann Mattern

Friedemann Mattern is a Full Professor at the Department of Computer Science, ETH Zurich, Switzerland, since 1999. He previously served as Chair of the department from 2010 to 2013 and held academic positions at TU Darmstadt (1994-1999), Saarland University (1991-1994), and the University of Kaiserslautern (1983-1991). His research spans distributed algorithms, ubiquitous computing, and the Internet of Things, with a focus on smart environments and energy systems.
