Fredrik Hellström

Fredrik Hellström is Associate Professor in Occupational Health Science, focusing on biochemical mechanisms underlying work-related musculoskeletal disorders. Research utilizes microdialysis and metabolomic approaches to analyze trapezius muscle properties during repetitive work.

Current projects include multivariate modeling of muscle proteins related to myalgia, metabolic profiling in work-related pain, and investigations of stress/inflammation responses in neck muscles. Collaborates with Umeå University and Linköping University on muscle physiology and rehabilitation studies.
