Frederik Wallenstein

Frederik Wallenstein is a Lecturer at Stockholm University's Department of Ethnology, History of Religions and Gender Studies. He contributes to religious education research through teaching and publication while exploring intersections between cultural memory, oral tradition, and Nordic religious history.

His research addresses critical gaps in cultural memory theory, particularly regarding oral prose traditions. Through empirical analysis of Icelandic sagas, he challenges written-norm biases in memory studies and develops frameworks for understanding dynamic cultural transmission processes.
