Fred R. Beyette Jr. is a Professor and current Chair of the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Georgia. His research initially focused on embedded systems for neurologic health and wellness applications but has recently expanded into engineering education research. He investigates how online and remote lab technologies influence student confidence and engineering identity, with a special emphasis on underrepresented demographic groups in Electrical & Computer Engineering. Dr. Beyette is actively involved in EETI (Educational Enhancement Through Innovation) programs, contributing to the development of accessible instructional lab technologies and the future of engineering education.
