Fred Martin, Ph.D., is a Professor and Interim Dean of the new College of AI, Cyber, and Computing at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). He previously served as Chair of the Computer Science Department and held administrative roles at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. His research focuses on empowering K-12 learners through AI/ML education, robotics, and data visualization tools. Martin leads the Engaging Computing Group, developing curricula and technologies for youth education. He teaches courses like 'Developing AI Tools for K-12' and collaborates with educators to integrate computational thinking into middle school curricula.
