Franzisca Weder

Dr. Franzisca Weder is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland (Australia) and Honorary Senior Research Fellow in the School of Communication and Arts. Her research focuses on Sustainability Communication, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Organizational Communication, with notable contributions to environmental discourse, media ethics, and health communication. She has held Guest Professor roles at universities in Germany, New Zealand, and the USA.

Weder chairs the International Environmental Communication Association (IECA) and has authored/co-authored over 100 publications, including books like Sustainability Communication and Integrated CSR Communication. Her work bridges academic theory and practical strategies, emphasizing transformative communication in socio-ecological systems. Recent research examines sustainability narratives in crises (e.g., climate activism through art), pandemic impacts on sustainability attitudes, and hydrogen energy communication.
