Franzeska Sampson

Dr. Franzeska Sampson is a Lecturer in the Social Work Department at Medgar Evers College and an Adjunct Professor at Grand Canyon University's College of Humanities & Social Sciences. She advocates for student success and actively supports the growth of the department's programs.

Research & Professional Contributions: Her work focuses on social work, mental health, and community empowerment. She has authored self-published books such as 52 Weeks of Mental Wellness (using Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs), Taking Care of Our Mental Health: From a Christian Perspective, and the upcoming Breaking Barriers: Black Women in Leadership Roles.

Community Engagement: Dr. Sampson collaborates with nonprofit organizations to address the needs of vulnerable populations. Her mission emphasizes practical application of social work principles, student advising, and integrating faith-based perspectives into mental health advocacy.
