Franz Ackermann

Franz Ackermann is a Professor of Painting at the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart since 2001. His artistic practice includes large-scale paintings and installations, such as Volcano (2010, oil on canvas, 280 x 435 cm) and 23 Gespenster (2008, installation at Kestnergesellschaft Hannover). He works in Karlsruhe and Berlin, and his class will be represented by Frederik Hahn in the summer semester of 2025.
