Prof. Frans Plank is a distinguished linguist holding dual appointments as Professor of Linguistics and English Language at the University of Konstanz (Germany) and Senior Research Fellow at Somerville College, University of Oxford (UK). His career spans over four decades, with professorships at institutions such as the University of Aarhus (Denmark) and Universität Hannover (Germany). Plank earned academic degrees from Universität Regensburg, University of York, and University of Edinburgh, culminating in a Dr. phil. from Universität Hannover (1980) and a Habilitation in Linguistics (1981).
