Frank Rusciano

Frank Rusciano is a Professor at Rider University's Department of Government, Politics, and Law, and Director of the Global Studies Program. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Chicago (Political Science) and a B.A. from Cornell University (Government & English Literature). His academic roles include Guest Professorships at the University of Mainz (Germany) and visiting scholar appointments at institutions like the Nobel Institute in Oslo.

His research focuses on global opinion dynamics, political communication, and corruption studies. Notable projects include analyzing post-January 6 public sentiment in the U.S. and exploring corruption perceptions across citizen and elite groups. He has authored over 45 articles and nine books, including World Opinion and the Northern Ireland Peace Process and manuscripts on global political trust.

Rusciano has received grants from the National Science Foundation, Ford Foundation, and Kettering Foundation, supporting projects like teleconference dialogues between U.S. and Egyptian students. His honors include multiple Fulbright awards and Alexander von Humboldt Fellowships. He teaches courses ranging from political theory (Great Ideas series) to applied methods (Political Analysis).

Leadership roles include chairing Rider's Political Science department, designing Global Studies curricula, and advising faculty development workshops. His work bridges international relations, media studies, and democratic governance, emphasizing global citizenship education and transnational dialogue mechanisms.
