Frank Mueller

Frank Mueller is a Professor in Accountability, Organisations & Strategy at Durham University Business School. He holds an MSc and DPhil from Oxford University and a first-class degree from Konstanz University. With 29 years of research experience, he has published 77 works including 25 in ABS 4-rated journals and 17 in ABS 3-rated journals (h-index: 38, i10-index: 60).

His research focuses on three interconnected areas:

• Strategy, Organisation, Leadership & Change
• Governance, Accountability, and Public/Private Interfaces
• Financial Crisis and austerity policies

Recent publications explore themes like ESG mediation, philanthropic influence in higher education, discursive accountability in social media regulation, and dramaturgical approaches to strategic change. His methodology combines discourse analysis with practice theory and field studies.

He has held positions at Newcastle, St Andrews, Leicester, Royal Holloway, Aston, and London Business School.
