About
Franco Fais is a Professor in the Department of Experimental Medicine at the University of Genoa and a member of the School of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. His academic roles include teaching courses such as Anatomy of the Locomotor System, Specific Anatomy, and Human Anatomy to students in Medicine, Surgery, and Dental Prosthesis programs. He is affiliated with the Institute of Human Anatomy, located at Via De Toni 14, Genoa, and maintains an active research focus on Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL).
His research investigates the therapeutic potential of targeting the p53/xCT/GSH axis in CLL, combining PRIMA-1Met with sulfasalazine. Other studies explore B-cell activation anomalies, microRNA profiling as predictive biomarkers, and ethical issues related to anatomical specimens. His work spans molecular mechanisms, drug interactions, and bioethical education.
Franco Fais’s recent publications focus on CLL pathogenesis, combination therapies, and ethical challenges in anatomy education. These studies highlight trends in pharmacological interventions, molecular diagnostics, and medical pedagogy.
