Franco Biondi is a Professor in the Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Science at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he leads the DendroLab. His work bridges dendroecology, climate science, and forest ecology, utilizing tree rings to study ecological changes across temporal and spatial scales.
His research focuses on intra-annual tree-ring features, wood anatomy, and climate-growth interactions in mountain ecosystems. He teaches courses like Natural Resource Ecology, Mountain Ecoclimatology, and advanced statistical analysis using R, with a recent honors seminar on climate change.
