Francisco Florit Durán is a Professor of Spanish Literature at the University of Murcia since 2004, holding roles such as Director of the Department of Spanish Literature, Literary Theory and Comparative Literature, Vice-Dean of Academic Affairs, and President of doctoral committees. His research focuses on Golden Age Spanish literature, particularly the works of Tirso de Molina, Lope de Vega, and Cervantes. He has directed 14 competitive research projects and supervised 15 doctoral theses.
His awards include the Outstanding Bachelor's and Doctorate Degrees (1981, 1985). He served as Visiting Professor at the University of Toulouse (2002) and has collaborated internationally at institutions like Sorbonne, McGill, and the University of Delhi.
