Francisca Tomas Alonso

Francisca Tomas Alonso serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Murcia.

She earned her doctorate from the University of Murcia in 1990 with a thesis focused on Pt-Rh catalysts and recovery systems in nitric acid plants.

Her research spans Chemical Engineering with specialization in Green Chemistry and Sustainable Engineering. She investigates catalytic processes for industrial applications, emphasizing environmentally friendly chemical production methods and nanotechnology integration. Her work addresses critical challenges in catalyst behavior and process optimization within chemical manufacturing.

Currently active in the Green Chemical Process Engineering research group, she previously contributed to the Green Chemical Engineering and Nanotechnology group and the Heterogeneous Catalysis group.
