Francesco Berto

Francesco Berto is Chair of Logic and Metaphysics at the University of St Andrews (UK) and a member of the Arché Research Centre. He is also an Honorary Member of the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation (ILLC) at the University of Amsterdam (NL), and has held positions at prestigious institutions including the Institute for Advanced Study (US), Sorbonne-Ecole Normale Supérieure (FR), and universities in Aberdeen (UK), Venice (IT), Padua (IT), and Milan-San Raffaele (IT).

His research focuses on logic and metaphysics, with publications spanning these fields. Funded by the UK Research Council, European Research Council, and Leverhulme Trust, his work bridges foundational philosophical inquiry and formal methodologies.
