Francesca Valetti

Francesca Valetti is an Associate Professor at the Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology, University of Torino. She specializes in biochemical methodologies and leads research projects focused on [FeFe]-hydrogenases, biocatalysis, and bio-hydrogen production. Her work bridges protein engineering with environmental biotechnology, emphasizing sustainable energy solutions.

Her research spans enzyme electrochemistry, bioremediation, and bio-based nano devices. Key projects include SMARFeS (PNRR 2022) and PERCIVAL, targeting iron-sulfur protein redesign for hydrogen production and industrial waste valorization.
