Francesca Potenza is a post-doctoral researcher affiliated with the University of Oxford (Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies) since May 2023, and a Teaching Assistant in Byzantine History and Philology at the University of Rome Tor Vergata since 2017. Her work focuses on Byzantine hagiography, multilingualism in medieval documents, and the history of libraries.

Her research includes critical editions of Byzantine texts, analysis of Greek documents from Norman Sicily, and studies on manuscript provenance. Recent publications examine multilingual legal documents, liturgical manuscripts, and Vatican Library acquisitions.
