Francesca Foffano

Francesca Foffano is an Associate Lecturer and Research Student at the University of York's Department of Computer Science, affiliated with the Intelligent Games and Game Intelligence (IGGI) and Human Computer Interaction research groups. Her academic background includes an MSc in Human Computer Interaction from the University of Trento and a BSc in Psychology Science from the University of Padua.

Her research explores psychological aspects of gaming, focusing on:

• Player experiences of 'stuckness' in games
• Emotional perception during gameplay
• Narrative-driven game design frameworks
