Eric Fouache is a Senior Member of the University Institute of France and Professor of Physical Geography at Sorbonne University. With expertise in Geoarchaeology, he leads research at the Mediations, Sciences of Places, Sciences of Links laboratory, focusing on Holocene environmental dynamics and human occupation across the Mediterranean Basin, Black Sea, Middle East, and Central Asia.
His work integrates geomorphology, paleoenvironmental reconstruction, and historical geography to analyze long-term human-environment interactions.
