Fotios Pasiouras

Fotios Pasiouras is a Full Professor of Banking & Finance at the MBS School of Business in France. He holds editorial roles including Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Banking, Accounting and Finance, and Associate Editor of the Journal of Financial Stability. Previously, he held faculty positions at the Universities of Bath, Surrey, and Portsmouth (UK), and the Technical University of Crete (Greece). He has served as Visiting Professor at the University of Portsmouth (Faculty of Business & Law), Visiting Research Fellow at European and U.S. universities, and held leadership roles in research centers like the Centre for Money, Banking and Institutions and the Financial Engineering Laboratory.

His research focuses on risk, corporate governance, regulations in financial institutions, and the influence of national culture and social trust on financial economics. He has been recognized in global rankings, including top 1.5% in social sciences (SSRN), top 4% in economics (IDEAS/RePEc), and top 2% worldwide scientists (Baas-Boyack-Ioannidis). His work has been cited over 12,000 times (Google Scholar, h-index 48) and 4,000 times (Scopus, h-index 30).

Key research themes include banking finance, corporate social responsibility, sustainable finance, and ESG integration. His recent studies explore cybersecurity disclosures, green bonds, and cultural impacts on financial markets. He has authored over 100 publications in leading journals such as Management Science and the Journal of Banking & Finance.
