Fotios Mitsakis

Dr. Fotios Mitsakis is a Senior Lecturer in Human Resource Management/Organizational Behavior at the University of Nottingham Business School (NBS), part of Nottingham Trent University. His academic roles include teaching postgraduate modules, supervising DBA/PhD students, and serving as a PhD Independent Assessor and Academic Mentor. He holds a PhD from the University of Strathclyde and prior industry experience in sales, marketing, and HR. His research focuses on HRD resilience, strategic HRD, diversity training, and workplace challenges in hospitality and education sectors. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, and serves as External Examiner for UK universities. His work has been recognized by the 2018 EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Award.

Recent work analyzes pandemic effects on higher education staff and EDI's role in leadership diversity.
