Folami Ford

Folami Ford is an accomplished interpreter and educator at Gallaudet University, serving as a full-time staff interpreter with Gallaudet Interpreting Service for twelve years while contributing to academic instruction. She holds a Master's degree in Interpretation from Gallaudet University and a bachelor's degree in Sign Language Interpreting from Maryville College, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Interpretation at Gallaudet.

Ford's professional focus centers on intersectionality within the interpreting profession, with particular emphasis on mentoring emerging interpreters and developing effective teaching methodologies. She brings extensive practical experience to her teaching of INT-595U Special Topics and INT-595G Special Topics courses, integrating real-world interpreting challenges with theoretical frameworks.
