Florian von Rosenberg

Florian von Rosenberg is a Professor of General Educational Science at the University of Erfurt since October 2016. Previously, he held academic roles including Acting Professor at Bundeswehr University Munich and W1 Professorship at the University of Erfurt. His research focuses on cultural pluralism in education, habitus transformation, and intercultural pedagogy. He earned his Ph.D. in Educational Science from Helmut Schmidt University Hamburg in 2010 and completed his habilitation in 2013. His work integrates Bourdieu's sociological theory with empirical studies on educational processes, learning orientations, and cultural dynamics in educational contexts.

Education: Studied education, sociology, psychology, and philosophy at the Free University of Berlin. Conducted research in DFG projects on educational transformation and learning processes. Authored numerous books and articles, including key contributions such as Education and Habitus Transformation (2010) and Learning, Education, and Cultural Plurality (2016).

Research themes include sociocultural conditions of education, educational biographies, and the interplay between habitus and field dynamics. His publications analyze processes of habitus transformation, cultural pluralism impacts, and methodological approaches in reconstructive social research.
