Florian Rietmann

Florian Rietmann is a researcher at the Department of Art History, Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, affiliated with the DFG Research Training Group 1913. He holds a Dipl.-Ing. in Architecture from BTU Cottbus and Universidad de Granada, and a MAS in History and Theory of Architecture from ETH Zurich.

• Key Project: The contested history of the Prora building complex, analyzing its socio-political layers and preservation challenges.

His publications explore contested heritage, earthquake-resistant reconstruction in Nepal, and sustainable urban practices.
