Florian Raymond

Florian Raymond is a Lecturer-Researcher in the Department of Geography at Paris 8 University, specializing in hydro-climatic extremes within the context of climate change. His work focuses on historical and future spatio-temporal variability of drought events and their societal/environmental impacts across the Mediterranean Basin, Europe, and France.

Raymond's research investigates hydro-climatic extremes through multiple frameworks: analyzing dry sequences under current and future climate scenarios, assessing meteorological hazard impacts on critical infrastructure, and examining long-term climate trajectories. His methodological approach integrates historical climate data with future projections to evaluate vulnerability in regional contexts.
