Florian Keusch

Florian Keusch is a Professor leading the Professorship for Social Data Science and Methodology at the School of Social Sciences. His research focuses on advancing methodological approaches in social data science, including innovative survey techniques and technology integration. He actively contributes to teaching, mentoring students in courses like the Empirical Research Practicum, and oversees the team's academic and administrative activities.

He is a recipient of the 2024 Lupia-Mutz Outstanding Publication Award for his work on smartphone-based data collection methodologies. Keusch also serves on the Methods Advisory Board of the Robert Koch Institute's panel study 'Health in Germany,' ensuring scientific rigor in public health research methods.

His team is engaged in ongoing research projects, and they currently seek tutors for practical courses to enhance hands-on learning experiences. Keusch’s work bridges traditional social science methodologies with modern digital tools, emphasizing practical and ethical data collection practices.
