Florian Gassner is an Associate Professor of Teaching in the Department of Central, Eastern, and Northern European Studies at the University of British Columbia (UBC), part of the Faculty of Arts. His research focuses on the cultural history of Central & Eastern Europe, intersections of music, religion, and literature, and the history of censorship. He holds an M.A. from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (2008) and a Ph.D. from UBC (2012).
