Jun.Prof. Dr. Florian Diekert is an Assistant Professor in Environmental and Resource Economics at Heidelberg University’s Alfred Weber Institute (AWI) within the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. His research focuses on understanding how natural environments shape human behavior and incentives, particularly in common-pool resource management. He leads the ERC Starting Grant project ‘NATCOOP’ exploring nature’s impact on economic agent preferences. Diekert holds a PhD from the University of Oslo (2011), with prior roles as PostDoc/Assistant Professor there (2011–2016).
