Florence Collet

Florence Collet is a Professor at the University of Rennes, France, who visited the Department of the Built Environment within the Faculty of Engineering and Science from April 3 to April 28, 2023, to host a workshop on building materials characterization and modelling with a focus on bio-based materials.

Her research specializes in sustainable building materials, particularly bio-based composites, utilizing advanced characterization techniques and tools like WUFI for moisture and heat transfer analysis. This work directly supports eco-friendly construction practices through material science innovation and modeling of physical properties in building environments.
