Wolfram Fischer was a prominent academic in Economic and Social History. He served as Professor Emeritus at the Free University Berlin since 1996, following his tenure as a full Professor from 1964–1996. He was Dean of the Faculty of Economics (1968–1970) and held leadership roles in academic administration. His research focused on economic and social history, with notable contributions to the field.
