Firat Demir

Firat Demir is the L. J. Semrod Presidential Professor of Economics and Co-Director of the Center for Peace and Development at the University of Oklahoma. His research focuses on economic development, open economy macroeconomics, structural change, South-South trade and finance, and the political economy of development. He holds a Ph.D. and M.A. from the University of Notre Dame and a B.A. in Management from Bogazici University, Istanbul.
