Fioretta Asaro

Fioretta Asaro is an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of Trieste. She actively participates in research groups focusing on Supramolecular Chemistry, Nanotechnologies, and Sustainable Chemistry, with emphasis on biocatalysis, biomaterials, and industrial applications.

• Current projects include biomass-derived materials for nose-to-brain delivery systems
• Biodegradable polymer uptake optimization using digital tools
• Enzymatic biodiesel production from coffee waste

Her research integrates experimental and computational methods for enzyme stabilization, peptide anchoring, and green chemical processes.

She serves on university boards including the Executive Board, Department's Board, and Boards of Studies.
