Filipa Paes is a Retained Lecturer in Law at Jesus College and a Lecturer in Law at St. Hilda’s College and Hertford College, University of Oxford. She is a DPhil Candidate in Jurisprudence at Hertford College, supervised by Professor Timothy Endicott. Her research focuses on law and language, legal interpretation, the rule of law, and legal epistemology, with an emphasis on arbitrariness in judicial decision-making and ambiguity in language.
